Friday Five

  1. Big Girl loves to build forts out of blankets. She has great fun building them and then inviting her sister into them too. They play, have picnics, and watch the house from there. It is very cute.

  2. Big Girl loves to do dance or exercise videos for her gym classes. And it is too cute when Little Girl joins in the fun.

  3. Little Girl has fun playing with a teddy Big Girl has had since she was about this age too. I caught her on camera as she was pretending to blow raspberry's on the teddy's belly.

  4. I think I am slightly obsessed with pics of sleeping babies. I just can't help myself. I keep taking pics of sleeping Baby Girl whenever I can.

  5. I can't wait to go to my first homeschool conventions in Gander in May. It is so exciting to know that I am going to meet other homeschoolers, some of whom homeschool special needs kids like Big Girl!!

First Walk of Spring

It was a nice day the other day and we decided it was a good idea to get everyone out of the house. I was inspired by this to decide that Big Girl and I are going to be working on a Nature Notebook as part of our homeschooling. She was really excited by the idea. We also decided that we will be going on a picnic here in the near future. Click over to Family Fotos to see pictures of our first walk of Spring:

    Too much fun

Homeschooling is going really well. She is just so happy. She ended the day saying, "I love school mommy!" So different than when she was in Public school. One thing I have realized is that she has lost a lot of what she knew when she was being homeschooled before and she has to regain the patience she has lost too, but she is working at it and enjoying it. And that is sooo much better. She asked to do dance shows she saw on cable for Gym class. I decided that was a great idea and dvr'd them and we did them together. Little Girl sat on the floor watching finishing her chicken strips. Then she started sitting with her chicken strips in hand and doing some of the motions from the show. Then she got up, laughed hysterically at our dancing and joined in. You have not lived until you have seen a 19 month old and an 8 year old trying to practice belly dancing! I stood behind them, trying hard to stifle my laughter as I watched Big Girl's spastic version of a Belly roll. It was a lot of fun. We are trying one called, "The Barefoot dancer" tomorrow.
