New Addition!!!

I created a family photo album to share pics and to store older pics. That way family and friends who feel so inclined can pop over and view pics of us from the past and present any time they want to. The pics go back as far as when Daddy and I got together. I have added it to my nav-bar under the header at the top of the page.

Sweet Big Girl

Big Girl was watching me get Baby girl ready for a bottle and she asked, "Mommy can I feed her?" I agreed that she could and we set her up on the couch. Snuggling her into the corner of the couch, placing a pillow in her lap and then placing Baby Girl and the bottle securely in her lap. Big Girl was thrilled to be feeding her sister and asked me if she could keep holding the baby after she finished her bottle. I said she could for a little while as long as the baby wasn't fussy. After the baby was done drinking her bottle, Big Girl sat there sweetly singing, "My Bonnie Lies Over the Ocean." to her sister until the baby fell asleep. It was truly one of the sweetest moments I have seen in a long time.

One Month Old-yesterday!

Baby Girl turned one month old yesterday. It is so hard to believe that so much time has gone by already. She is truly a wonderful baby, I couldn't ask for an easier, more pleasant child. As she snuggles down into my arms and sighs and then smiles in her sleep, I feel my heart could get no more full. Big Girl hears her cry and then sings to her and then Baby Girl will stop crying and watches her big sister intently. Just one month old and she hold my heart in the her tiny little hand. I watch her sleep and I know I could get no happier then just right now.

Does she know that she is only 2 1/2 WEEKS OLD??

Baby Girl turned over yesterday!! TWICE!! WHILE SWADDLED!! She has figured out that if she kicks one leg and not the other she leverages herself and tips over. She makes me nervous so now we are teaching her to sleep without being swaddled. I don't want her flipping around in there with a blanket wrapped around her. She is doing pretty good now. This morning, she wasn't impressed but this afternoon, she is sleeping away quite happily as you can see in the pic below I just took.

Did you notice the fact that her stuffed toys have mysteriously crept up and cuddled her in her sleep? Strangely, that seems to happen every time Big Girl walks by and sees her sister sleeping in the bassinet in the living room.

1st Doctor's appointment

Well little Baby Girl had her first doctor's appointment today. She did fabulously. She has grown 2 centimeters in the last week and she has surpassed her birth weight by 2 ounces. She checked out great.

I did okay. My blood pressure still is up and we increased my medication to compensate.
